Museums for the 21st century – Australian heritage experts in Jaipur – 8-10 April 2013

A five member heritage delegation from Australia was in Jaipur from 8 to 10 April to collaborate with the Maharaj Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust on heritage conservation and cultural tourism.

The Australian and Indian teams took part in a joint forum on museum collections and conservation, heritage architecture and conservation, and cultural tourism. AusHeritage chairman and Australian cultural heritage expert, Mr Vinod Daniel, set the tone for the forum by speaking on ‘The Museum of the 21st Century’ and participants undertook site visits at the Jaipur City Palace and Jaigarh Fort.

Australian Heritage Delegation visits Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi – 27 Feb 2013

Australian heritage experts are visiting Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi to boost heritage cooperation between Australia and India and discuss maritime heritage preservation.

Delegates from AusHeritage and the Australian National Maritime Museum are in India from 25 February to 5 March to take part in a joint forum with Chathrapathi Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Mumbai) and to meet senior heritage officials. The visit will include discussions in Chennai on the planned new Maritime Museum for Tamil Nadu.

AusHeritage MOU signing completed with the China University of Technology – 8 Oct 2012

Today AusHeritage completed the signing process regarding our MOU with the China University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. The event was held at the Observatory Hotel in Kent Street Sydney where AusHeritage Chair Vinod Daniel and Australia China Council Project Leader, Bruce Pettman added their signatures to the MOU.
